Design & Interior
The exterior of the ID. EVERY1 balances a planted stance with clean, approachable aesthetics. Short overhangs, a low-slung silhouette, and a width of 1,860 mm give the compact footprint a confident presence. The side profile pays homage to Volkswagen heritage with a straight window line inspired by the Mk1 Golf, while sculpted side sills and flared wheel arches add modern dynamism. Up front, friendly three-dimensional headlights give the concept an approachable character, mirrored by a styled rear bumper and lighting bar. A subtle central channel runs along the roof, finishing at an integrated rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics.
Inside the cabin, and the focus shifts entirely to light, space, and clever modularity. High-contrast accents and warm, textured recycled fabrics break away from traditional black and grey plastics, establishing a comfortable lounge. Drivers sit behind a flattened two-spoke steering wheel with clear physical controls. A prominent central touchscreen dominates the dash, complemented by dedicated physical switchgear below for the climate control functions. Practicality gets a boost by a center console mounted to a floor rail, enabling it to slide between front and rear rows.
Other Technical Specifications
Underpinning the ID. EVERY1 concept is a dedicated FWD variation of Volkswagen's MEB platform. Power comes from a single, newly developed electric motor producing 70 kW. This setup achieves a top speed of 81 mph, catering comfortably to dual-carriageway driving while prioritising urban efficiency. Volkswagen targets a minimum range of 155 miles (around 250 km) from its compact battery pack, making it a highly capable everyday commuter. Additionally, the concept introduces a next-generation centralized software designed to handle lifelong over-the-air feature and performance updates.
Production Plans
Volkswagen has confirmed that the ID. EVERY1 concept will directly translate into a full production model set for a global launch in 2027. The final production vehicle will target a starting price of around €20,000 (roughly £16,500), positioning it directly against budget urban EVs like the Dacia Spring and Renault Twingo E-Tech. Manufactured in Europe for European buyers, the production car forms the final piece of VW's four-car compact EV offensive alongside the ID. Polo, Cupra Raval, and Skoda Epiq.
