The Nissan Micra returns as a fully electric B-segment supermini, co-developed alongside the Renault 5 E-Tech on the shared AmpR Small architecture. Replacing its long-running combustion predecessor, this electric iteration targets city drivers and small-car enthusiasts seeking a retro-futuristic style combined with modern EV efficiency. Design
Measuring under 4 metres in length, the Micra shows of a compact and rounded silhouette that pays subtle homage to iconic previous generations. The front end is dominated by large, circular LED lights that give the car an approachable face, complemented by clean body lines and flush surfaces. At the rear, rounded taillights mirror the front design. Nissan offers two-tone exterior paint combinations with contrasting black or grey roof options, paired with standard 18-inch wheels across the range to give it a planted, wide-track stance on the road.
Interior
Inside, the cabin takes full advantage of its EV platform with a stepped-back dashboard layout that maximizes front knee room. Primary controls are oriented toward the driver, featuring a standard 10.1-inch central infotainment touchscreen equipped with Google Built-in, including Google Maps and native app integration. Driver instrumentation is provided by a 7.0-inch display on entry models or a matching 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster on higher specifications. The Micra is offered with two single-motor, FWD powertrains and two battery sizes. The 40 kWh Standard Range paired with a 120 hp motor delivers a range of up to 196 miles. The 52 kWh Extended Range with an upgraded to a 150 hp motor, provides a range of up to 257 miles. DC fast-charging capabilities peak at 80 kW for the 40 kWh battery and 100 kW for the 52 kWh pack, allowing a 15% to 80% recharge in approximately 30 minutes for both versions.
