The Leapmotor C10 marks the entry of Chinese startup Leapmotor into the UK market, backed by the global automotive giant Stellantis. Positioned as a direct, value-focused competitor to established mid-sized electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y Standard, Skoda Enyaq, and Renault Scenic E-Tech, the C10 aims to disrupt the D-segment. Measuring nearly 4.74 metres in length, it delivers executive-class passenger space and a extensive equipment lists at a mainstream price point, serving as a practical and accessible choice for family EV buyers.
Design
The C10 adopts a clean, uncluttered design language with modern proportions. Up front, it features an aerodynamic, blanked-off grille flanked by a continuous LED light bar and integrated automatic headlights. The side profile is defined by a long, traditional SUV roofline, flush-fitting pop-out door handles, 3 subtle body crease lines, and large 20-inch 'Trident' alloy wheels fitted as standard. At the rear, an airfoil-style roof spoiler, a full-width LED tail-light strip, and a hidden rear windscreen wiper finish the sleek, cohesive exterior.
Interior
Embracing a minimalist cabin layout, the C10 relies on high-resolution displays replacing physical switchgear. Facing the driver is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster behind a chunky two-spoke steering wheel, while a 14.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen manages the infotainment, climate, and vehicle controls. Cabin quality is strong, using animal-free synthetic leather and soft-touch materials throughout. Standard equipment includes a full panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade, a 12-speaker 840W sound system, customisable multi-color ambient lighting, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and heated and ventilated electrically adjustable front seats.
Performance & Powertrains
The pure-electric C10 utilizes a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous electric motor producing 215 bhp (160 kW) and 236 lb-ft of torque driving the rear wheels. Power is supplied by a 70kWh LFP battery integrated using cell-to-chassis technology. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph takes 7.5 seconds, to a top speed of 106 mph. The range is rated at up to 263 miles. Charging capabilities include a DC fast-charging up to 84 kW that completes a 30 to 80 percent top-up in around 30 minutes.
Practicality
Thanks to a generous 2,825 mm wheelbase and a completely flat floor, rear-seat legroom is exceptionally spacious and comparable to high-end luxury vehicles. The rear seats can recline, and both front seats can fold completely flat to form a continuous internal lounge area. Cargo capacity starts at 435 litres under the parcel shelf, expanding to 1,410 litres with the 60:40 split rear seats folded flat. Under the bonnet sits a small 32-litre frunk for charging cables.

Pricing for the Leapmotor C10 is fixed at £36,500.
