Overview
The Audi e-tron GT stands as the performance flagship of the German brand's electric line-up, bridging the gap between a focused sports car and practical, long-distance cruiser. Sharing its advanced platform architecture with the Porsche Taycan, this low-slung, four-door grand tourer has received substantial battery, motor, and chassis revisions to enhance its competitiveness. Positioned beneath the ultimate RS variants, the standard e-tron GT line-up offers an exceptional balance of luxury, pace, and touring capability designed to rival premium executive electric saloons.
Design
The exterior styling remains one of the most compelling parts of the e-tron GT, delivering an aggressive yet elegant grand tourer silhouette. It features a wide track, deeply flared rear haunches, and a sweeping, coupe-like roofline that flows into an imposing rear light bar with dynamic indicators. The prominent Singleframe front grille is set in between advanced Matrix LED headlights. Aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels, ranging from 20 to 21 inches, fill the arches. A standard black styling pack and an integrated panoramic glass sunroof complete the sleek, low-slung look.
Interior
Audi delivers a driver-centric, cocooned cabin experience that prioritises premium material quality and traditional layout familiarity over hyper-minimalism. The dashboard integrates a crisp 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel alongside a central 10.1-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation and wireless smartphone connectivity. Tactile physical controls are retained for the three-zone climate control system, making it much better to operate on the move. The standard interior uses sustainable, recycled textiles and artificial leather, which can be upgraded to fine Nappa leather alongside ventilated, massaging sport seats.

Performance & Powertrains
Following mechanical upgrades, the e-tron GT features a dual-motor, four-wheel-drive powertrain utilizing a majorly reworked rear electric motor to produce 496 bhp in standard guise and up to 670 bhp in the S trim. Power is delivered through an innovative two-speed automatic transmission on the rear axle, allowing the vehicle to launch from 0 to 60 mph in a blistering 4.2 to 3.6 seconds depending on the trim. Under the floor sits a larger 105 kWh gross battery pack that unlocks a significantly improved range of 375 to 386 miles. Utilising an 800-volt electrical architecture, DC rapid charging capability peaks at an exceptional 320 kW, allowing an 10% to 80% replenishment in just 18 minutes. Underneath, a standard dual-chamber adaptive air suspension ensures outstanding comfort over undulating tarmac, while optional all-wheel steering grants high-speed agility and enhanced low-speed maneuverability.
Practicality
Designed as a proper grand tourer rather than a family vehicle, the e-tron GT balances reasonable passenger room with a low-slung layout. The long wheelbase accommodates tall adults comfortably in both the front and rear seats with ample legroom, though the sweeping roofline restricts rear headroom, and the middle rear seat remains narrow. For interior storage, it provides a lidded central armrest, door bins, and integrated cupholders. The rear boot offers a 366-litre cargo capacity accessed via quite a narrow opening, though versatility is boosted by 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats, and a small frunk providing dedicated storage for the charging cables.
Buying
Prices for the updated line-up start at £89,555 for the entry-level e-tron GT quattro, climbing to £108,825 for the S variant. The entry-level specification comes generously equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, adaptive air suspension, and a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system. The top-tier Vorsprung specification commands a steep premium but adds all-wheel steering, a head-up display, a night vision camera, and heated, ventilated massaging seats. The EV Hub recommended configuration is the base e-tron GT quattro entry trim. It provides the longest range of 384 miles, delivers identical rapid-charging capabilities, and provides more than enough everyday performance while avoiding the costly option packs that push the price into luxury supercar territory.
