The Renault Emblème is an eco-designed demo car that serves as a rolling laboratory to showcase the future design language and eco-friendly ambitions of the French manufacturer. Positioned as a sleek, C-segment family shooting brake, the concept aims to slash total greenhouse gas emissions by 90% compared to a modern equivalent vehicle, producing just 5 tonnes of CO2 equivalent over its entire lifecycle.

Design & Interior
Measuring 4.8 metres long and 1.52 metres tall, the Emblème blends the flowing, elegant proportions of a shooting brake with subtle crossover styling. Exterior aesthetics feature a long sloping bonnet, dynamic rear diffuser, flush-fitting glass, and a striking green paintwork that shifts hue depending on the light. Aerodynamics are heavily prioritised; side wing mirrors are replaced by cameras integrated into the wheel arches, active air flap grilles in the bumper, and two air fins on the bonnet to direct airflow over the roof toward a prominent rear spoiler. The front and rear feature a illuminated lighting signature directly incorporating a geometric Renault emblem.
Inside, the cabin adopts a minimalist 'Shy Tech' philosophy, concealing controls until needed to maintain a clutter-free environment. The focal point is the curved openR panorama screen extending across the dashboard, paired with sustainable, recycled textiles and an airy, light-filled layout.
Other Technical Specifications
The Emblème features a dual-energy powertrain built on the AmpR Medium platform. Primary drive comes from a 160kW rear-mounted, wound-rotor electric motor that avoids the use of rare-earth metals. For daily driving, power is supplied by a 40kWh NMC battery pack. For long-distance trips, a 30kW fuel cell acts as an onboard range extender, fed by a 2.8kg hydrogen tank. This dual setup allows for a total range of up to 621 miles, or 1,000 km.
Production Plans
The Renault Emblème itself will not enter direct serial production as a standalone vehicle. However, Renault has confirmed that the vehicle acts as a technology and styling predictor for its next-generation family of electric vehicles scheduled to arrive around 2028. Elements such as the new C-segment platform architecture, cell-to-pack battery designs, advanced aerodynamic techniques, and recycled material manufacturing processes will be integrated into future production models.
