The Skoda Elroq marks a decisive moment for the Czech brand as its first fully electric compact crossover. Sitting directly below the larger Enyaq, the Elroq is designed to eventually replace the combustion-engined Karoq, serving as a pivotal model in Skoda's aggressive electrification strategy. Design
As the first model using Skoda's new Modern Solid design identity, the Elroq abandons the traditional front grille in favour of the sleek Tech-Deck Face. This gloss-black panel discreetly houses essential driver assistance radar and sensors behind a clean surface. Above the fascia, slim, segmented LED daytime running lights extend across the front, complemented by matrix LED headlight clusters nestled lower down in the sculpted front bumper. The classic Skoda logo on the bonnet is replaced with bold, spaced lettering. Along the flanks, crisp shoulder lines and short overhangs maximize the wheelbase, giving the vehicle a planted stance. Aerodynamic efficiency is prioritized throughout, featuring functional air curtains in the front bumper, active cooling shutters, an optimized underbody tray, and aerodynamically refined alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches, contributing to an impressive drag coefficient of 0.26.
Interior
Inside the cabin, the Elroq adopts a minimalist layout heavily focused on sustainability and intuitive ergonomics. The dashboard features a clean horizontal design wrapped in tactile, eco-friendly materials composed of recycled post-consumer plastics and reclaimed ocean gear. Positioned in the center is a prominent 13-inch infotainment touchscreen running Skoda's latest software interface, complete with customizable shortcuts, satellite navigation, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Below the main screen, a row of tactile physical buttons provides rapid access to climate controls and more. Drivers face a compact 5-inch digital instrument cluster behind the multi-function steering wheel, which can be paired with an optional AR head-up display. The Elroq lineup features two RWD powertrains. The entry-level Elroq 60, and gives you a 61kWh battery paired with a 204 PS electric motor, allowing for 0-62 mph to 8.0 seconds while offering a range of 250 miles. The long-range Elroq 85 features an 84kWh battery paired with an efficient rear motor generating 286 PS. This model completes 0-62 mph in 6.6 seconds, reaching a limited top speed of 111 mph alongside an impressive range of up to 360 miles. DC rapid charging performance is strong across the board. Peak speeds of up to 165 kW and 175 kW are available for the different battery sizes respectively. This enables a 10 to 80% charge in approximately 26 minutes. On the road, the chassis delivers an exceptional balance of ride comfort and predictable, composed handling over uneven tarmac.

True to the brand's core values, the Elroq delivers class-leading interior packaging and space efficiency within a compact 4.48-metre overall body length. Rear seat passengers benefit from generous knee and headroom thanks to the dedicated flat-floor EV architecture, accommodating 3 adults across the rear bench comfortably. Cargo capacity stands at a competitive 470 litres with all seats in place, which expands to a vast 1,580 litres when the 60/40 split-folding rear seats are dropped. Skoda incorporates a wide range of signature Simply Clever practical touches, including a custom storage net under the parcel shelf specifically designed to store the Type 2 charging cable, side boot cubbies, an ice scraper integrated into the charging flap, an umbrella stowed in the driver's door, and up to 48 litres of additional storage compartments distributed throughout the cabin.
