Design
The EX30 presents a clean, modern aesthetic that evolves Volvo's traditional design language for the electric era. Up front, it features a closed shield grille flanked by a digital reinterpretation of the iconic Thor's Hammer LED headlights. Short front and rear overhangs combined with large wheel arches give the crossover a planted, athletic stance. The side profile reveals a floating roofline, sharp character lines along the doors, and flush window glazing to minimize aerodynamic drag. At the rear, two-piece vertical LED taillights frame the rear windscreen, paired with lower light units that stretch across the tailgate. Gloss black exterior accents, standard aero-optimised alloy wheels ranging from 18 to 20 inches, and a contrasting black roof on higher trim levels reinforce its premium look.
Interior
Scandinavian minimalism reaches its peak inside the EX30, defined by a clean, button-free dashboard layout. Volvo has eliminated traditional instrument clusters and physical switchgear, consolidating nearly all vehicle functions, climate controls, and driver information into a central 12.3-inch portrait touchscreen running Google built-in software. To cut costs, the speakers are removed from the doors and replaced by a full-width Harman Kardon soundbar mounted at the base of the windscreen. The cabin prioritizes sustainability, utilizing recycled and renewable materials such as woven flax, upcycled denim fibers, tailored wool blends, and Nordico synthetic leather. Upgrading to the Single Motor Extended Range adds a 69 kWh NMC battery. The top-tier Twin Motor Performance model adds a second electric motor to the front axle for AWD.
