Overview

The Lucid Gravity is an all-electric, full-size luxury SUV designed to challenge premium competitors such as the BMW iX5, Volvo EX90, and Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV. Positioned as Lucid Motors' flagship SUV, the Gravity combines sports car acceleration with long-distance touring and exceptional packaging. Constructed on a bespoke skateboard EV architecture, it leverages proprietary battery and motor technology developed in-house to deliver class-leading energy efficiency and remarkable interior volume within a surprisingly sleek footprint.

Design

Visually, the Lucid Gravity departs from traditional boxy SUV silhouettes by using a streamlined, aerodynamic aesthetic that achieves a drag coefficient of just 0.24 Cd. Its low-slung roofline, short overhangs, and cab-forward stance make it appear much leaner in person than typical 3-row family haulers. Up front, narrow micro-lens array headlights create a distinctive horizontal light signature across a clean fascia. Smooth body surfacing, flush-fitting door handles, and active aero elements optimize airflow, while an expansive panoramic glass roof sweeps seamlessly from the windscreen to the rear, giving the exterior a futuristic, high-tech appearance.

Interior

Inside the cabin, the Gravity showcases a minimalist, high-tech environment centered around Lucid's 34-inch curved 6K OLED display positioned above the steering wheel. A secondary touchscreen sits lower on the center console to handle climate controls and navigation, complemented by physical toggle switches for essential adjustments. Material quality is top-tier, blending sustainably sourced fabrics, rich leather options, and real wood accents. Ergonomics are enhanced by a squared-off steering wheel and ultra-thin A-pillars that provide excellent forward visibility, while integrated fold-out tables in the second row add convenience for passengers.

Performance & Powertrains

Powering the flagship Grand Touring variant is a dual-motor AWD powertrain generating 839 hp and 1,232 Nm of torque, enabling 0 to 62 mph acceleration in just 3.6 seconds. It utilizes a 120 kWh battery pack that achieves a range of up to 465 miles on a single charge. An entry-level Touring variant is also offered with an 89 kWh battery. This downgrades the motors, now producing 568 hp. The range also drops to 338 miles on a single charge. Utilizing an ultra-fast 900V electrical architecture, the Gravity supports DC rapid charging speeds of up to 400 kW, replenishing up to 250 miles of range in just 14 minutes.

Practicality

Despite its relatively sleek height of 1,658 mm, the Gravity offers exceptional interior space thanks to its ultra-compact electric drive units and 3,035 mm wheelbase. It comfortably accommodates up to 7 adults across 3 rows, with sliding and reclining second-row seating that allows easy balancing of legroom. Both rear rows fold completely flat to give a cavernous cargo bay suitable for almost anything. Up front, the vehicle features a massive 230-litre frunk that opens wide, doubling as a bench seat when parked.

Buying

Deliveries for the Lucid Gravity began in early 2026. Pricing starts at approximately £85,000 for the base Touring trim, rising to around £100,000 for the high-performance Grand Touring edition. The EV Hub recommended configuration is the Grand Touring variant for its maximum driving range, ultra-fast charging capability, and full 3-row luxury to be a standout in the upper-tier electric SUV market.
