Overview
The Genesis GV60 represents the South Korean luxury brand's entry into the dedicated premium electric crossover segment. Sharing its highly advanced E-GMP underpinnings with the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6, the GV60 distinguishes itself by targeting the premium space occupied by the Audi Q4 e-tron and Tesla Model Y. Following a mid-cycle refresh, this EV features an upgraded battery pack, subtly revised styling, and a completely overhauled cabin. It stands as a refined, slightly unconventional choice that prioritizes luxury, and a plush ride over aggressive driving dynamics.
Design
The design of the Genesis GV60 blends a swooping fastback silhouette with distinctive corporate styling cues. The most noticeable visual updates include a redesigned front bumper that presents a sharper appearance and a functional lower grille optimized for battery cooling. Genesis has replaced the rugged grey plastic wheel arches and side skirts of the original model with fully colour-matched trim. The signature two-line quad LED matrix headlights have been updated with slimmer multi-lens arrays, while new aerodynamic alloy wheel designs spanning from 19 to 21 inches complete the refreshed profile. It remains a bold, highly distinctive shape that deliberately avoids the styling choices of its German rivals.
Interior
The cabin of the GV60 is a masterclass in materials and quality, now heavily updated with a 27-inch panoramic OLED single-screen display. This ultra-wide setup handles both the instrument cluster and infotainment, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Material choices are lavish, utilizing extensive soft-touch surfaces and metal switches that feel considerably more substantial than the minimalist designs of its competitors. The famous Crystal Sphere drive selector remains a highlight, rotating 180 degrees to reveal it only when the car is on. Further updates include a new steering wheel, a wireless smartphone charging tray, and physical shortcut buttons.

Performance & Powertrains
The powertrain lineup centers around a unified 84 kWh battery pack, operating on an 800V architecture. The entry-level Pure variant uses a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 225 bhp, capable of achieving a 0-62 mph time of 7.8 seconds and a range of 348 miles. Stepping up to the dual-motor Sport trim introduces AWD, generating 314 bhp and cutting the sprint time to 5.5 seconds. The range-topping Performance version deploys dual 241 bhp motors to deliver a combined 483 bhp, dropping the 0-62 mph time to an explosive 4.0 seconds when utilizing the steering wheel-mounted Boost button. Thanks to the E-GMP platform, the GV60 supports DC rapid charging at speeds of up to 240 kW, facilitating a 10% to 80% replenishment in just 20 minutes. On the road, refinement is exceptional due to active noise cancellation, though the chassis leans heavily toward comfort rather than razor-sharp handling.
Practicality
While passenger space is generous up front, the GV60 sacrifices a degree of utility in exchange for its dramatic roofline. Rear legroom is excellent thanks to the long 2,900 mm wheelbase and flat floor, but taller adults will find headroom slightly restricted by the sloping fastback design. The boot provides 432 litres of luggage capacity, which is respectable but noticeably less than the squared-off cargo areas of the Tesla Model Y or Audi Q4 e-tron. Folding the rear seats flat expands the volume to 1,550 litres, and a small frunk under the bonnet offers convenient storage for charging cables. Cabin storage is well considered, featuring a massive slide-out glove drawer instead of a traditional hinged box, alongside large door bins and an open lower center console.
Buying
Pricing for the Genesis GV60 reflects its premium positioning, starting at £54,115 for the single-motor Pure model. The dual-motor Sport variant is priced from £58,515, while the flagship Performance model demands £67,715. The EV Hub recommended configuration is the GV60 Pure. It comes equipped with an extensive suite of standard luxury equipment, including adaptive LED headlights, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, and a powered tailgate. Choosing the Pure trim allows you to benefit from the maximum range of 348 miles, without spending more on performance that is rarely used in daily driving.
