Design
Embracing a refined design called 'Charismatic Simplicity', the exterior strips away unnecessary trim while retaining the classic MINI silhouette. Up front, signature round LED headlights feature customizable light signatures, framed by a smooth, closed-off octagonal grille. The body highlights short overhangs, a long wheelbase, flush door handles, and a distinctive floating roofline that can be optioned in different colours. At the rear, flush triangular LED light clusters retain the optional Union Jack graphic, completing a clean and aerodynamic aesthetic.
Interior
Inside, the cabin is dominated by an industry-first circular 240mm central OLED display running MINI Operating System 9. This circular hub manages infotainment, climate, and driving telemetry, backed by a minimalist toggle bar for key drive controls. The dashboard features a unique curved surface wrapped in textured, recycled knitted textiles that have ambient lighting built in. Synthetic Vescin leather upholstery replaces traditional hide. Different MINI Experience Modes alter display graphics, ambient colours, and synthetic motor sounds, including a dedicated Go-Kart mode.

The lineup features two distinct FWD powertrains. The entry-level Cooper E pairs a 184 hp electric motor delivering 290 Nm of torque with a 36kWh battery, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 7.3 seconds and offering a range of up to 186 miles. Peak DC rapid charging for the Cooper E reaches 70 kW, allowing a 10 to 80% top-up in 28 minutes. The higher-performance Cooper SE develops 218 hp and 330 Nm of torque, completing 0 to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds. Powered by a larger 49kWh battery, the Cooper SE achieves a range of up to 247 miles and supports 95 kW DC rapid charging, replenishing from 10 to 80% in 29 minutes.
Practicality
Designed primarily as a stylish urban commuter, accommodation is optimized for front occupants. The rear bench is strictly configured for two people, offering limited legroom best suited for children or shorter journeys. Cargo capacity measures 210 litres with the rear seats upright, which expands to 800 litres when the 60/40 split-folding rear bench is stowed flat. Underfloor boot space accommodates charging cables, though there is no frunk.

Prices for the MINI Cooper Electric start from £26,905 for the Cooper E in Classic trim, rising to £29,905 for the Cooper SE. Specification grades across both battery variants include Classic, Exclusive, and Sport trims. Optional Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 packages add features such as a head-up display, Harman Kardon audio system, and active driver assistance tech. The EV Hub recommended configuration is the MINI Cooper SE in Exclusive trim.
