Overview

The Peugeot e-3008 marks a major shift for the French brand as its first model built on Stellantis's dedicated STLA Medium platform. Departing from the traditional upright SUV shape of its predecessor, the e-3008 adopts a sleek fastback profile designed to balance family versatility with improved efficiency. It enters a highly competitive mid-size electric crossover market, pitching itself directly against rivals like the Polestar 3, Skoda Enyaq Coupe, and Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron. Combining premium interior tech, impressive long-range battery options, and bold styling, the e-3008 represents Peugeot's push upmarket in the family EV sector.

Design

Exterior styling is one of the e-3008's main selling points. Up front, it features Peugeot's signature three-claw LED light signature integrated into the body-coloured front grille. Ultra-compact LED headlights sit above the main grille to give the front end an aggressive look. The side profile is dominated by a sweeping roofline that tapers downward into a sharp rear spoiler. Despite the raked silhouette, Peugeot has maintained a high beltline and raised ride height to preserve its SUV presence. Sharp crease lines run along the flanks, while unique geometric alloy wheels range from 19 to 20 inches. At the rear, high-mounted three-claw LED tail-lights are connected by a dark trim strip featuring bold Peugeot lettering, giving the tail a wide stance.

Interior

Inside, the e-3008 debuts the Panoramic i-Cockpit, centered around a curved 21-inch HD display that combines the digital instrument cluster and central infotainment screen into a single floating unit on the dash. The secondary i-Toggles provides customisable digital shortcuts to frequently used functions like navigation, media, or climate settings. The gear selector is relocated to the dashboard next to the start button to free up space along the floating center console. Cabin materials are high quality, featuring textured fabric upholstery blended with ambient LED lighting strips and real aluminium trim accents. Front occupants benefit from supportive seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.

Performance & Powertrains

The e-3008 offers three electric powertrain configurations across two battery sizes. The standard single-motor FWD version produces 210 hp and 345 Nm of torque, using a 73kWh battery to deliver a range of 326 miles. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph takes 8.8 seconds. For maximum distance, the Long Range single-motor FWD variant increases power to 230 hp and pairs with a massive 97kWh battery to achieve an impressive range of 435 miles. A Dual Motor AWD option tops the performance lineup with 325 hp, using the 73kWh battery for a range of 306 miles. Across all models, DC rapid charging peaks at 160 kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80% in 27 to 30 minutes. The driving experience prioritizes comfort and highway refinement over sharp cornering, accommodating a heavy kerb weight.

Practicality

Despite the fastback roofline, Peugeot has managed to preserve interior usability. Boot capacity stands at 588 litres with the rear seats in place, expanding to 1,663 litres with the 40/20/40 split-folding rear bench lowered. Choosing the Dual Motor AWD version reduces boot space slightly to 544 litres, or 1,619 litres with the rear seats folded. A recessed floor compartment provides space under the boot floor to store charging cables, though there is no frunk. The floating center console houses a large cooled storage bin, dual cup holders, and a wireless phone charging pad, providing 34 litres of storage throughout the cabin. Knee room and headroom in the rear seats are adequate for adult passengers, though the sloping roofline marginally reduces overhead space compared to conventional boxy SUV alternatives.

Buying

Pricing for the e-3008 starts at £45,960 for the entry-level 73kWh standard-range model, increasing to £48,760 for the 97kWh Long Range version, while top-spec GT and Dual Motor variants reach toward £52,000. The range is split across two main trim levels. The entry Allure grade includes 19-inch wheels, keyless entry, rear parking sensors, a rear camera, partial fabric upholstery, and dual screens. The higher GT specification adds 20-inch alloy wheels, the full 21-inch Panoramic i-Cockpit display, Alcantara upholstery, a hands-free power tailgate, adaptive cruise control, dynamic matrix LED headlights, and customizable interior lighting. The EV Hub recommended configuration is the 97kWh Long Range version in Allure trim. It offers long-distance capability rarely found in this segment and combines maximum range with all the core technology features without pushing the purchase price into top-tier GT territory.
