Overview

The Rimac Nevera R is an ultra-exclusive, track-focused evolution of the standard Nevera, shifting its identity from a high-speed Grand Tourer to a sharp, aggressive hyper sportscar. Limited to just 40 units worldwide, this car is designed to prioritize agility, cornering performance, and extreme lateral grip without entirely sacrificing the daily usability pioneered by the original model. Built by Bugatti Rimac in Croatia, it stands as a pinnacle showcase of cutting-edge electric driving, engineering refinement, and software-driven dynamics.

Design

The exterior styling of the Nevera R has been thoroughly resculpted under the direction of Bugatti Rimac design chief Frank Heyl to project a lower, sleeker, and more purposeful stance. A completely revised, sharp front nose pairs with deep aggressive air ducts and unique triple finlets to significantly alter the car's visual character. The side profile incorporates three integrated status lights on the flanks that nod to the brand's layout of three-phase electric motors. Moving to the rear, the vehicle features a dramatic, fixed carbon fiber rear wing supported by a triple-pylon layout alongside an aggressive lower diffuser. This complete aerodynamic overhaul works with active body elements, including a front underbody flap and an active bonnet, to boost aerodynamic efficiency by 10% and elevate downforce by 15% at top speed.

Interior

The two-seat cabin strikes a balance between track focus and high-end grand touring comfort, retaining traditional upholstered sport seats, conventional seatbelts, and tactile metal door handles instead of minimalist pull straps. Driver interaction centers around a trio of HD screens consisting of a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment screen, and a dedicated passenger telemetry display. High-quality aluminum rotary dials and switches fill the center console to provide an analog feel to the digital interior. The technology suite includes real-time telemetry downloading alongside a sophisticated digital Driving Coach capable of overlaying race track lines and inputs on the screens in real-time.

Performance & Powertrains

Power is delivered via a highly advanced quad-motor setup utilizing four independent surface-mounted, carbon-sleeve, permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors paired with four independent inverters. Total system output is raised to an astonishing 2,107 hp, working alongside a maximum torque figure of 2,340 Nm. A downsized 108 kWh battery pack sheds weight while providing a range of 341 miles or 550km. The Nevera R rockets 0-62 mph in 1.81 seconds, 0-125 mph (200 km/h) in 4.38 seconds, and 0-186 mph (300 km/h) in a breathtaking 8.66 seconds, on its way to a capped top speed of 256 mph. Cornering is vastly improved via the next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring system that calculates torque distribution 100 times per second, cutting understeer by 10% and increasing lateral grip by 5% on staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Stopping power is managed through a brake-by-wire system equipped with EVO2 carbon-ceramic brakes coated in a specialized silicone layer for better heat management and consistent pedal feel.

Practicality

Engineered around an incredibly stiff, lightweight carbon fiber monocoque safety cell with a bonded carbon roof and integrated structural battery pack, cabin space is cozy but sufficient for two adults. Storage is minimal as the hypercar completely lacks a frunk due to the dense packaging of the cooling systems, and front motors. Storage is restricted to a small 100-litre luggage compartment located beneath the rear glass hatch, which is shaped to accommodate tailored weekend travel bags or small luxury items.

Buying

The Rimac Nevera R commands an estimated base price of approximately £2.3 million; a significant price premium over the standard model. Given the highly limited production run of 40 units globally, getting the vehicle is handled directly through commissioning consultations at authorized specialist dealerships.
