The MINI Aceman Electric is a five-door crossover designed to plug the gap between the compact Cooper hatchback and the larger Countryman SUV. Designed purely as a bespoke EV, it offers five-seat practical urban transport with a higher hip point and a rugged stance. Placed directly in competition with modern compact electric crossovers such as the Volvo EX30, Skoda Elroq, and Ford Puma Gen-E, the Aceman gives distinctive style, clever interior spatial efficiency, and engaging driving dynamics tailored for city drivers and small families.
Design
Measuring just over 4 metres long, the Aceman pairs traditional MINI proportions with crossover styling. The exterior is defined by angular, rhombus-shaped LED headlights, a closed-off octagonal front grille, flush door handles, and geometric wheel arches with dark lower body cladding. Flush glass surfaces improve aerodynamic efficiency, achieving a slippery body shape to maximize driving range. At the rear, the signature Union Jack LED taillights feature customizable lighting signatures that allow drivers to select different locking and unlocking animations.
Interior
The cabin moves away from standard plastics, featuring textured 3D knit fabrics created from recycled polyester spanning across the dashboard and door panels. The focal point is a central 240mm circular OLED touch display running MINI Operating System 9, which handles both the infotainment and instrument cluster. Toggle switches directly below the main screen control core drive functions like the gear selector and parking brake. MINI Experience Modes adapt ambient lighting, visual themes, and synthetic motor sounds to match chosen driving profiles.
Performance & Powertrains
The Aceman is offered in three distinct FWD single-motor powertrain configurations. The Aceman E features a 38kWh battery paired with a 184 hp electric motor, delivering a range of up to 192 miles and max DC fast charging speeds of 75 kW. The Aceman SE features a larger 49kWh battery alongside a 218 hp electric motor, raising the range up to 252 miles with DC fast charging capped at 90 kW for a 10-80% charge in approximately 30 minutes. On the road, the Aceman delivers direct steering, minimal body roll, and agile handling reminiscent of MINI's traditional go-kart driving feel.
Practicality
With a wheelbase optimized for electric packaging, the interior offers space for up to 5 passengers, though rear legroom is tighter than larger family SUVs. Boot capacity stands at 300 litres with all seats in place, expanding to 1,005 litres with the 60:40 split-folding rear bench collapsed flat. Storage options throughout the cabin include generous door pockets, flexible center console storage, and a wireless charging pad.

Pricing for the MINI Aceman range starts at £29,060 for the entry-level Aceman E. Trims are categorized into Classic, Exclusive, and Sport editions, alongside specialized versions such as the Monochrome edition. The EV Hub recommended configuration is the Aceman SE in Exclusive trim.
