The exterior of the EQS are defined by its distinctive one-bow cab-forward silhouette, sweeping continuously from the bonnet over the cabin to the rear spoiler. This ultra-streamlined profile allows the EQS to achieve an incredible drag coefficient of 0.20, making it one of the most aerodynamically efficient production cars in the world. Dual-motor AWD variants, such as the EQS 580 4MATIC, push output to 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque, enabling 0 to 62 mph acceleration in just 4.1 seconds. DC rapid charging allows top-up speeds up to 330 kW to 350 kW depending on battery, achieving a 10% to 80% charge in as little as 25 to 31 minutes. Unlike traditional luxury saloons with fixed boot lids, the EQS uses a large hatchback opening that reveals a vast 610-litre boot capacity, expanding to 1,700 litres with the 40:20:40 split rear seats folded down.
