Overview
The Citroën ë-SpaceTourer is a large, fully electric MPV designed to fulfill the high-capacity transport needs of large families, sports teams, and commercial shuttles. Derived from the Stellantis commercial vehicle platform, it occupies a segment of the electric vehicle market, offering seating for up to nine occupants. The updated model introduces modern styling alongside crucial powertrain revisions, addressing previous limitations by providing a choice of battery capacities to better serve both short-range urban private-hire drivers and long-distance operators.
Design
The exterior of the ë-SpaceTourer disguises its commercial van origins through Citroën's latest design language. The front features a smoothed, rounded nose with the updated logo, flanked by sleek LED daytime running lights. Standard models are equipped with 16-inch or 17-inch steel wheels with full covers, while top-tier versions upgrade to premium 17-inch diamond-cut 'Phoenix' silver and black alloy wheels. The side profile maintains crisp lines and large window openings, complemented by dual sliding side doors that enhance curbside accessibility.
Interior
The cabin balances exceptional spaciousness with modern technology. It benefits from a commanding, high seating position and redesigned dashboard that features a standard 10-inch HD central touchscreen. This setup integrates wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, and multiple USB-C ports for data and charging. While lower trims use durable cloth upholstery and harder plastics on the dash, the premium specifications introduce more luxury touches including Claudia Mistral leather seat trim, a heated leather steering wheel, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and a sound-insulating windscreen to minimise cabin noise levels.

Performance & Powertrains
Across the line-up, power is delivered by a single 136hp front-mounted electric motor, enabling smooth and quiet low-speed acceleration. Buyers can select between two battery packs. The entry-level 49kWh battery provides a combined range of up to 136 miles, whereas the upgraded 75kWh battery variant extends the range up to 214 miles. When utilizing a 100kW DC rapid charger, replenishing the battery from 5% to 80% requires approximately 38 minutes for the 50kWh unit and 45 minutes for the 75kWh battery. For standard AC charging, a 7.4kW onboard charger is standard, with an optional 11kW three-phase charging available to reduce overnight charging times down to under 5 hours.
Practicality
Maximum interior volume and flexible packaging are the primary strengths of this large MPV. Available in two overall body lengths; M and XL, the vehicle can be configured to accommodate up to 9 passengers across 3 rows of seating. The rear seating rows are mounted on individual floor rails, allowing them to slide to prioritize either legroom or luggage capacity. When extra cargo room is needed, the seats can be folded flat or removed entirely from the cabin. With all 9 seats occupied in the M length, the remaining boot space accommodates 380 litres of luggage behind the third row, which expands to 4,554 litres when measured to the roofline in the maximum cargo configuration of the XL variant.
Buying
The entry-level Citroën ë-SpaceTourer M in the You! trim level with the 50kWh battery starts from £35,495 after the electric vehicle grants are added, while the extended XL body style begins at £36,305. Upgrading to the premium Max trim level with the high-capacity 75kWh battery positions the vehicle at a starting price of £54,375 for the M length and £55,275 for the longer XL body. The EV Hub recommended configuration is the Citroën ë-SpaceTourer M in the Max trim with the 75kWh battery pack. This specific arrangement delivers the full 214-mile range, while bypassing the steep price premium for the XL size. If you need more space than the M, the XL is still a great option.
