The Polestar 6, originally unveiled in March 2022 as the Polestar O2 concept, represents the Swedish brand's vision for an all-electric 2+2 hardtop roadster. Built to demonstrate that zero-emission mobility can deliver pure emotional driving pleasure, the concept combines aggressive sports car proportions with minimalist Scandinavian aesthetics. It acts as a halo car for Polestar, bridging the gap between extreme performance engineering and sustainable automotive design.

Design & Interior
The exterior is defined by sharp, sculpted lines, a low stance, and short overhangs that emphasize traditional sports car proportions in a futuristic EV package. Integrated aerodynamic features, such as front wing vents and a full-width rear light blade acting as an air diffuser, optimize airflow and maximize driving range. Inside, the cabin follows a clean, driver-centric philosophy dominated by a large portrait touchscreen powered by an evolved version of Android Automotive OS. The interior prioritizes circularity, using a single thermoplastic material for all soft interior components alongside labeled, graded aluminium alloys throughout the chassis to streamline future recycling.
Other Technical Specifications
Powering the Polestar 6 concept is a dual-motor, AWD powertrain outputting up to 650 kW and 900 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is targeted at 3.2 seconds, with a top speed capped at 155 mph. Supported by an 800V battery system, the concept targets a driving range of over 300 miles and features ultra-rapid DC fast-charging capabilities capable of replenishing the battery from 10% to 80% in under 20 minutes.
Production Plans
Polestar confirmed that the concept will transition into a limited-run production roadster named the Polestar 6. The initial allocation of 500 build slots for the "LA Concept Edition," featuring Sky Blue paintwork, 21-inch alloy wheels, and custom light leather interiors matching the original display vehicle, sold out within a week at an estimated starting price of approximately £160,000. Full series production is planned following the rollout of the Polestar 5 grand tourer.
