The Peugeot e-208 GTi marks the return of the iconic hot hatch badge, transformed into a fully electric hot hatchback designed to deliver uncompromising driver engagement. Developed in partnership with Peugeot Sport, it sits as the flagship performance model in the e-208 lineup, directly targeting electric performance hatchbacks such as the Alpine A290 and Abarth 600e.
Design
Visually distinctive from the standard model, the e-208 GTi features a lowered body by 25 mm alongside significantly widened tracks, expanding by 56 mm at the front and 28 mm at the rear. Exterior highlights include full LED headlights with subtle red accents, gloss black detailing, and iconic 18-inch Belchamp perforated alloy wheels tailored specifically to aid brake cooling. A Black Diamond roof comes as standard equipment, complemented by a discreet black and red GTi badge on the C-pillar as a clear nod to four decades of Peugeot hot hatch heritage.
Interior
Inside the cabin, the signature Peugeot i-Cockpit layout receives dedicated performance treatment with a bespoke user interface on the 10-inch HD central touchscreen and 3D digital instrument cluster. The compact steering wheel is wrapped in full-grain perforated leather and Alcantara, completed with red stitching and an exclusive GTi badge. Heavily sculpted sport front seats provide enhanced lateral support and come paired with red seatbelts, dedicated GTi upholstery, aluminum pedals, red cabin carpeting, and 8-colour customisable ambient interior lighting.
Performance & Powertrains
Power is supplied by a High Performance front-mounted electric motor delivering 207 kW and 345 Nm of instant torque. Sprinting from 0 to 62 mph takes 5.5 seconds, with a top speed capped at 112 mph. Power is transferred through an RGM reducer paired with a mechanical limited-slip differential to maximize cornering traction. High-performance Alcon 355 mm front brake discs with fixed 4-piston calipers provide the stopping power. Energy is stored in a 54 kWh battery yielding a range of up to 233 miles. Rapid DC charging up to 100 kW allows a 20% to 80% replenishment in 27 minutes.
Practicality
Despite its heavy emphasis on track performance, the vehicle retains the practical interior dimensions of the base five-door supermini. Boot capacity stands at 309 litres with all seats upright, expanding to 1,118 litres when the rear bench is folded flat. Practical cabin features include a high central console with built-in armrest, induction wireless smartphone charging, deep door bins, and dedicated smartphone storage compartments.

Pricing for the Peugeot e-208 GTi starts at £34,995. Standard specification remains extensive, encompassing a 360-degree vision camera package, connected 3D navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a comprehensive suite of active safety assistance systems.
