Overview

The Skoda Peaq is the Czech brand's all-new, all-electric flagship large SUV. Measuring nearly five metres in length, this massive 3-row vehicle represents the largest model Skoda has ever produced. It is positioned to bridge the gap between mass-market affordability and premium 7-seat luxury, directly taking on rivals such as the Kia EV9 and Hyundai IONIQ 9, while undercutting them significantly on price. The Peaq serves as a zero-emission alternative to the highly popular petrol-powered Kodiaq, moving Skoda into an upscale market segment by combining family utility with premium-tier execution.

Design

The exterior of the Skoda Peaq heavily inherits the styling cues of the Vision 7S concept car, introducing the brand's new 'Modern Solid' design language. The front is dominated by an illuminated high-gloss black Tech-Deck Face featuring thin vertical slats and LED backlighting, which replaces the traditional radiator grille. This is framed by a striking set of T-shaped daytime running lights and full LED Matrix headlights. Down the sides, the Peaq shows off clean surfaces, soft body lines, and strong proportions, making it the first Skoda model to feature flush-fitting door handles to minimise drag. Depending on the specification, the vehicle rides on aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches, while SportLine models adopt more aggressive bumpers and distinctive blacked-out trim. The rear profile finishes with a sharp vertical drop, claw-like taillights, and a prominent roof spoiler.

Interior

Inside, the Peaq shifts away from conventional layouts to adopt a minimalist, premium design heavily inspired by the lounge-like Vision 7S concept. The cabin is tech-focused, featuring a crisp 13.6-inch vertical touchscreen alongside a dedicated digital driver's display and an AR head-up display. The physical buttons are high-quality, leading to an upmarket feel that surpasses the Kodiaq. Sustainability is a core focus, using 50kg of recycled and eco-conscious materials, which introduce synthetic leather alternatives like Techtona and durable grey fabrics. A standout feature is the optional Relax Package, which introduces ergonomic front relaxation seats capable of reclining almost flat, complete with integrated fold-out leg rests. An expansive electrochromic panoramic glass roof spans the roof, divided into nine adjustable segments to flood the cabin with light or provide shade, while an immersive Sonos sound system provides premium audio.

Performance & Powertrains

The Skoda Peaq is built upon a sophisticated dedicated electric architecture and comes equipped with an 86kWh battery pack across all versions. Buyers can choose between RWD and AWD dual-motor configurations. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant produces 282hp and achieves a highly competitive range of 390 miles, while the AWD variant increases power output to 295hp. In terms of charging capabilities, the Peaq supports DC rapid charging at speeds up to 199kW, allowing the battery to replenish from 10% to 80% in 28 minutes. Additionally, the vehicle features smart bidirectional charging capabilities and Vehicle-to-Load functionality, allowing owners to use the high-voltage car battery as a mobile power bank to run appliances, supply electricity to caravans, or charge electronic equipment via a dedicated household plug in the boot.

Practicality

Offering ultimate cabin flexibility, the Peaq is designed as a highly accommodating family vehicle available in 5 or 7-seat configurations. It boasts an exceptionally flat floor and a tall, boxy roofline, ensuring that headroom and legroom are generous across both the second and third rows of seating. When configured as a 5-seater or with the third row folded completely flat, the Peaq delivers a massive 890-litre boot capacity, easily outpacing rivals like the Kia EV9. When all 7 seats are in use, the remaining boot space stands at a functional 299 litres. Utility is enhanced by a 37 litre frunk alongside 33 litres of clever interior storage bins scattered around the cabin. Convenient touches include a fold-out table that mounts directly to the central cupholders and a hands-free electric tailgate.

The entry-level SE L comes well-equipped with the 13.6-inch portrait touchscreen, digital driver's display, wireless phone charging, heated front and rear seats, a powered tailgate, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
