Overview

The Zeekr 7X enters the competitive mid-size electric SUV segment as a tech-focused family vehicle aimed directly at rivals like the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai IONIQ 5. Built on Geely's advanced Sustainable Experience Architecture, the 7X blends sleek modern styling with impressive charging speeds and generous interior space. It's a key step in Zeekr's expansion across Europe and international markets, delivering high-end features and sophisticated software at a competitive price point.

Design

Adopting Zeekr's latest Hidden Energy design language, the 7X features clean surfaces and sharp lines that give it a planted stance. Up front, the vehicle showcases the distinctive full-width Stargate LED light bar, which integrates daytime running lights and interactive headlights into a sleek upper grille section. The side profile is designed for aerodynamic efficiency with flush-fitting door handles, frameless side mirrors, and a subtle roofline drop that maintains rear headroom while smoothing airflow. At the rear, another ultra-thin full-width LED lightbar and an integrated roof spoiler complete a polished, aerodynamic look.

Interior

Inside, the Zeekr 7X offers a minimalist, premium cabin dominated by a large 16-inch 3.5K OLED central touchscreen alongside a sleek digital driver's display. The infotainment system runs on a Snapdragon processor, providing instant responsiveness, crisp graphics, and wireless smartphone integration. Cabin materials prioritize soft-touch leatherette, accompanied by customisable ambient lighting and a expansive panoramic glass roof that floods the space with natural light. High-spec models add ventilated, heating, and massaging seats for both front and rear passengers, while physical switchgear is kept to a minimum on the center console.

Performance & Powertrains

The Zeekr 7X is available with single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations. The single-motor model produces 421 hp, delivering a brisk 0-62 mph sprint in 5.7 seconds. The dual-motor flagship delivers 646 hp, accelerating from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. Battery options include a 75kWh LFP Golden Battery and a larger 100kWh NMC pack. The 7X delivers a driving range of up to 382 miles with the 100 kWh battery, while the 75 kWh unit offers up to 298 miles. Thanks to an ultra-fast 800V architecture, the 75kWh LFP pack can charge from 10% to 80% in an incredible 10.5 minutes at 360KW DC ultra-rapid chargers, making it one of the fastest-charging EVs on the market.

Practicality

Thanks to its dedicated electric platform and generous 2,925 mm wheelbase, the 7X provides superior legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers. Storage options are plentiful throughout, including a flexible lower center console, deep door bins, and integrated rear seat drawers. Rear seats can be power-reclined and slid on higher trims, allowing owners to prioritize passenger comfort or luggage capacity when needed. Boot space is generous at 616 liters with all seats in place, expanding significantly with the 60/40 split rear seats folded flat, alongside a convenient frunk for storing charging cables.

Buying

Pricing for the Zeekr 7X starts at approximately £46,000 for the single-motor entry model, rising to around £48,000 for the Long Range version with the 100 kWh battery pack and £53,000 for the AWD varient. Trims are structured around Core, Long Range, and Privilege specifications, with standard equipment including 20-inch alloy wheels, the complete ADAS driver assistance suite, a surround-view camera system, and the 16-inch OLED display setup. The EV Hub recommended configuration is the single-motor Long Range model with the 100 kWh battery, which delivers the optimal balance of real-world driving range, rapid DC charging speed, and excellent value for money.
